How to help
We've put together some other options to help make sure your voice is heard.
Complain to the council
Submitting a complaint to the council is straightforward and essential for addressing any issues you may encounter. The council is obliged to respond to your complaints. Should they fail to do so in accordance with their complaints policy, you have the right to escalate the matter to the Local Government Ombudsman.
For detailed guidance on lodging a complaint with the council, visit our How to make a complaint page.
Write to your local councillor
Councillors act as a conduit between the community and the council, representing the interests of their wards and the residents within. Your local councillor is committed to:
-
Responding to your enquiries and investigating your concerns
-
Communicating council decisions that impact you
-
Being cognisant of community issues
-
Collaborating with local organisations, interest groups, and businesses
-
Advocating your views at council meetings
-
Leading local campaigns on your behalf

Write to your MP
It is known that Matthew Pennycook, MP for Greenwich and Woolwich and the current Shadow Minister for Levelling Up, Housing, Communities, and Local Government, supports initiatives designed to enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety and reduce traffic in residential areas.
However, there is a concern that he may not be fully aware of the challenges faced by local residents who rely on vehicles, small businesses that need vehicle access for operations, and the implications for emergency services and carers due to the implementation of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) and cycle lanes. It is imperative that he represents all constituents, including those adversely affected by these changes.

Share your photos and videos
We encourage you to share photos and videos that document the adverse effects of poorly planned infrastructure. Your visual contributions are invaluable to our campaign and will be featured on our website and social media platforms. Please submit your media through our Contact page.
